I CALL myself a website designer but I really just compile websites, which means I put them together using resources that are readily available…as well as using my own skills as a copywriter to make them sound more ‘compelling’!

There’s no need to start from scratch and learn programming or html these days. You can pick up all the information and assistance you need from the Internet in the form of video and pdf tutorials and support forums, and pick up a few programming skills as you’re actually working with your website along the way.

A useful way to start practising IS with a free website…but be warned…most of the so-called free websites are loaded with advertising that makes money for someone else…and if you want something professional for a business purposes or to make money, a free website is likely to LOSE customers rather than gain them.

You can turn this magnificent blogging software into a website so easily by simply creating pages…and you can use your blog posts as well – or not – it’s up to you.
But Will It Get Noticed By The Search Engines…?

You bet! It’s a well known fact that blog and forum posts are recognized quickly by search engines and in some cases, a blog post will appear in the number one position of a google search almost instantly. One of my blogs does that for me on a regular basis.
